The Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) was established in 1993 through the collaborative efforts of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the World Bank. These two organizations provided the technical support during the establishment of the exchange. The LuSE began operations on February 21, 1994.
The Africa Digital Stock Exchange Limited, founded in 2018, is an electronic trading platform that provides trading and settlement of stocks, commodities and their derivatives. Most of the trading occurs in the diamond and gem trading sectors.
